It was a tribute, to celebrate the anniversary of an extraordinary masterpiece (Battleship Potemkin).  So I focused on underlining and singing the achievements of Eisenstein: the metaphors, the staging, the rhythm, the allegories, the analogies… putting together all the material to work as a graphic novel. I attended fascinated the resources display of Eisenstein, his extraordinary ability to handle the revolutionary epic, the emotional repertoire of the noble ideals, his talent to fabulate on a real event and, getting rid of the less heroic details and the most common, sordid and banal events, turn into a tale full of vigour, humanity, anger and plastic beauty, a great tool, a beautiful lie, a masterpiece.
