Nicolai Troshinsky

Nicolai Troshinsky (Moscow 1985). Studied illustration in Madrid and later attended intensive courses with Józef Wilkon and Linda Wolfsgruber in Italy.

In 2009 he graduated in the French animation filmmaking school “La Poudrière”. Since 2006 he has been working as a freelance illustrator for publishers such as Kókinos, A buen Paso, Kalandraka, Nórdica o Anaya.

In 2010 he begins developing experimental videogames. His game “Loop Raccord” was selected in numerous festivals and international exhibitions and later he works in the visual development and design of the video game “Forest of Sleep”.

In 2013 he releases his short film “Astigmatism” which was screened in over a hundred international film festivals such as Sundance, Annecy or Sitges, receiving multiple awards. After that he continues creating animation works by order to France, United Kingdom and United States.

At the same time, since 2009 he has been giving workshops, talks and interventions in illustration and animation schools, regularly collaborating with the “Istituto Europeo di Design” in Madrid since 2013.

In 2018 he decides to merge his Illustration, animation and video games experience into the creation of “dynamic illustrations”.
