Ana Galvañ

Ana Galvañ (Murcia, Spain). Comic author and illustrator. She also works in the advertising field. After graduating at Fine Arts University of Valencia, she did a specialization degree in creativity and art direction. Later she gave up advertising in order to concentrate on comic and illustration. She currently lives in Murcia.

 

Her work has been recognized in several competitions, she has received the Special Jury Prize at the III Creacomic Contest (2010); the Gráffica Prize (2016) and she was nominated for the Best work by a Spanish author published in Spain in 2018 at the Barcelona Comic Fair.

 

Her stories have been appeared in publishers around the world such as Fantagraphics, Nobrow, Ultrarradio, Vertigo DC, Off Life, Autsáider, Apa-Apa and Fosfatina.

 

She has collaborated with press and publishers such as El País, Público, The New Yorker, The New York Times and The Appeal.

 

One of her main strengths is the poster’s design and event’s campaigns, such as those made for Matadero Madrid, announcing La Plaza festivals in their Summer, Spring and Autumn editions. On the other hand, the design of posters for music and comic festival like TruenoRayo Fest and GRAF.
