Like an open book
Cristina Sitja Rubio / Javier Saez Castán / Manuel Marsol

The project Like an open book poses the simile between a book and an exhibition room: where the walls are pages and the reader passes them with his feet.

This exhibition is made up of the Cristina Sitja Rubio, Javier Sáez Castán and Manuel Marsol, and it’s composed of all the illustrations that are part of the 3 picture books accompanied by the corresponding text:

1. ¿Qué hacer un domingo? (What to do on a Sunday?) (Cristina Sitja Rubio)

2. Picopeloplumas y el Hombre Pájaro (Picopelosplumas and the bird man) (Javier Sáez Castán)

3. El tiempo del gigante (The time of the giant) (Manuel Marsol)

Like an open book
(Collective exhibition)

The picture books chosen for this exhibition address different subjects with varied techniques (engraving, mixed media on paper and digital prints), however, they all have one element in common: the hybrid character. Before us we find figures created from fragments of anything and they are composed of three illustrators whose own style is inimitable.
