The illustrations forming part of A Minha Cidade are a journey around Madrid, around Manuel’s Madrid. From his experience in the city, Marsol offers us a wander around the places that mean something to him. Cluttered with crowds of people, colour, action and makes them ours. A Minha Cidade is not a travel guide with photos from image banks, it is the smell of a bar; the ham sandwich at the Bernabéu; the labyrinth where you want to lose yourself in Malasaña; the place you would never know about if they didn’t take you there; the ant in the book you read in front of the Crystal Palace… It is the city and its habits. A total of 12 locations illustrated with the affection of someone who has been happy there.
