This exhibition is created by two projects: Objets Perdus and Amis Retrouvés. 42 original illustrations of two picture books that share characters and theme and complement each other.

OBJETS PERDUS / LOST PROPERTY

Cristina Sitja Rubio’s lush jungle rich in colour and detail is full of fabulous characters, hybrids between humans and imaginary creatures. An ode to travel and a warning of the attendant dangers, this story immerses the reader in nature, brilliantly illustrating the disorientation of the traveller crossing from urban life to the wild. AMIS RETROUVÉS / OLD FRIENDS

In this second picture book, Cristina Sitja Rubio again explores how it feels to be a fish out of water, and shows the city at its most joyful, scary and exotic side… The illustrations in ink are full of beautiful eccentricities and it is with joy that we explore this big colourful city.
